Artist Bio
I’m interested in bringing out the
raw beauty of metal. There is a hidden elegance in metal that is interpreted
through my designs. Through my work experiences in the industrial field I have learned to respect the multi-faceted properties
of metal; I celebrate this respect by highlighting its appearance.
These designs can now be incorporated into
your everyday life and can be experienced by all through my Dining and Living room creations.
Being from the Midwest, I include Frank Lloyd
Wright as one of my favorite designers. The Art Deco styles in his work are a
big inspiration in my work.
I make modern designs that work in
a contemporary setting. My designs are stylish, yet comfortable. The designers of the Golden Gate Bridge, one of my favorite architectural structures, are also an inspiration to me.
I’m amazed at how the bridge enhances the surrounding area. I believe that
all designers should remember that aspect when working on a piece.
That idea is what started me on my journey
as a furniture designer. As the years have gone by in my life, I started to feel
unimpressed with the quality or design of my surroundings. Being someone who
doesn’t settle for the mediocre, I went to work on designs that celebrate my love of the works of Lloyd, and other designers
like Strauss and the Morrows.
When I construct a piece of furniture,
I want to make something that people will enjoy for many years. The enthusiasm I have for my work shines through in every piece that I design, and I hope that it will transfer
through to its owner.
I’m a newcomer to Vegas, and I’m
eager to be part of its transformation from a small gaming town to a Metropolitan area.
The growth of a town brings culture and diversity and I am happy to be here to experience this birth into an artistic
explosion.
